Is ClvrJob secure?
Short answer: yes — and it is built the same way the software big companies already trust every day. Here is the plain-English version of how your business data is protected, with no jargon. Every point below is how the app actually works.
Everything travels over an encrypted connection
Every page and every action runs over HTTPS — the same padlock-in-the-browser encryption banks and hospitals use. Nobody sitting on the same Wi-Fi or network can read what goes back and forth between you and ClvrJob.
Passwords are never stored as passwords
When someone signs up, their password is scrambled with a one-way process called bcrypt. Nobody — not even us — can read a customer’s password by looking at the database. If a copy of the data ever leaked, the passwords would be useless gibberish.
Every account only ever sees its own data
This is the big one for companies. On every request, the app checks who you are and whether you’re allowed to see what you asked for. One customer physically cannot pull up another customer’s jobs, emails, inventory, or files — the isolation is enforced on the server, not just hidden in the screen.
Uploaded files are locked down
Packing lists, box-label photos and artwork are not sitting on a public web address. When you open one, ClvrJob first confirms the file belongs to you, then hands you a temporary link that expires shortly after. There is no permanent public URL someone could stumble onto or share around.
We never touch your credit card number
Billing runs entirely through Stripe — the same payment processor used by Amazon, Shopify and Google. Card details go straight to Stripe and never land in ClvrJob’s database. The scariest part of “is my payment info safe” is handled by one of the most audited payment companies in the world, not by us.
Professionally hosted and backed up
ClvrJob runs on managed cloud infrastructure that handles the servers, the database and automatic backups. You are not depending on a laptop under someone’s desk — it is real cloud hosting that scales as you add users.
What a bigger company will ask about
A larger buyer’s security person usually cares about four things — and you can answer all four honestly:
Access control
Per-account isolation is enforced on the server, so people only see their own data.
Data protection
Encrypted in transit over HTTPS, passwords hashed, storage and backups handled by the hosting platform.
Payments
Fully offloaded to Stripe (PCI-compliant), so ClvrJob is never in the card-data business.
Real authentication
Every person has their own login and session — no shared passwords floating around.
An honest note on certifications
Very large enterprises with a formal procurement team may eventually ask for audit paperwork like SOC 2 or a signed data-processing agreement. Those are certification steps that well-built software adds once it starts selling to the enterprise tier — not a sign that anything is insecure. For small and mid-sized businesses, the protections above are exactly what they should expect. If a larger deal ever needs that paperwork, get in touch and we’ll walk you through it.
